This is day three for me but I have a toddler to look after so doing nothing isn't possible.

Is this your first? If so I'm bloody jealous and just enjoy the lay about time, I remember it well before DD arrived, just wish I had appreciated it more at the time because you never get it back :)

No my second! My little girl is in nursery every afternoon from 12pm so have a manic morning then now it's chill, out til 3.15pm! Oh god yeah I remember the first time round so well, vegging out in pjs all day, having a kip on the settee when wanted!!!!!! Second time round is hard work!!!

You lucky duck....my DD doesn't start nursery until September and even then it will only be 2 afternoons!
It definitely is harder. ..I have run out of energy to entertain her today so we are having a cbeebiesathon!!

Ha ha yeah I can relate to that! This morning I was so tired, I made breakfast, we ate it in bed, I then gave her the iPad and she played on that for an hour while I chilled in bed a bit longer!!!!!!!!!!

I do that most mornings, and sometimes we even go back to bed in the afternoon Grin

I wanted to work a bit longer than I actually did but being in work was getting hard too (35weeks with big baby).
but at least in work I could sit on my backside and get tea made for me instead of having a 2yo climbing all over me!

Just chill. It'll be manic again later. Dd and I were going out after school drop offs then got a weird message from DH. Think I know what it is about but he couldn't talk at work. So we came home instead and played princesses, built houses, had a tea party at lunchtime and she's now watching the lion the witch and the wardrobe. At least cbeebies isn't that dark! She loves it!

Get your feet up and relax. I like to think that a relaxed mum=a relaxed and chilled baby.
