Weird back pain causing my hip to give way

Hello everyone, just looking for some advice as not seeing my midwife for a little while yet.

I am 29 weeks and have developed a really sharp nerve pain in my right hip. To try and describe, when i put my weight on my right leg i get a sharp stabbing type pain in my lower back just above my hip bone which penetrates right into the joint causing my hip to give way. No pain radiating into my buttock or leg, just in the hip joint.
Any ideas? I have tried googling it but everything comes up with sciatica which i am not convinced it is.
Has anyone had anything similar? Really starting to get me down :(

I'd recommend a visit to your GP, they can refer you to physio if that would help with your pain. (My physio told me yesterday, that a joint 'giving way' is your brain purposely sending the message to it to relax, rather than to tense as you want it to, because to tense the joint is painful and your brain is trying to protect you from the pain)

I have a pronlem that sounds similar the sachrial joint has been slightly out of place. I've had physio which has helped a bit, doing glute stretches helps a little too. Definitely ask to be referred for physio, the earlier you start treatment the better.

I had this when pregnant with DC3, it was a trapped sciatic nerve that the baby was pressing against. It was bloody painful and I could hardly walk or drive, I ended up getting signed off work at 26 weeks until my maternity leave started as the doctor said that sitting for long periods was aggravating it and it was too dangerous to drive.

This sounds similar to the sacrioliac joint issues I've had. Physio has helped me immensely. Hope you can get some help soon.
