Does the growth of the bump often 'plateau'?

My bump started to appear quite early on, at about 14 weeks, but I'm now 25 weeks and growth seems to have slowed down over the last couple of weeks. Is this common?

Yes, last time mine grew in fits and starts rather than a nice steady growth. I'm sure it's because baby grows like that too- lots of growth spurts!

Maybe! My midwife has never measured my bump but I have extra growth scans because I'm diabetic so perhaps that's why. My bump seemed really big at first because it popped early but seems to be growing slower now. Thanks.

Our won't start measuring until 28 weeks so you may find she measures you next app.

I find my bump changes shape/size on a daily basis! I'm 26 weeks.

Was getting a bit concerned because apparently it can be a bad thing if the bump stops growing?

Bump size is not always connected to baby size. If your midwife is concerned then she'll send you for a scan. Otherwise I wouldn't worry.

Okay, thanks. All was well at my 20 week scan (which I had at 21 weeks!)

You might be in for a growth spurt soon then! Baby is set to double it's weight in the next month so just wait and see.

And yes, mine varies during the day too!
