Hey welcome to the group and the few people who have hyperthyroidism. I'm nearly 33 weeks with graves (a type of hypothyroidism). Unless your blood results come back very high they will not interfere, if you have any questions or concerns talk to your gp or midwife. Hope this helps.

Yes thank you the doctor was like it was a death sentence but no one else seemed to concerned lol just wanted to make sure I am not suppose to be taking something or doing something lol xx

Hi Smile

I was diagnosed severe hyperthyroid/Grave's Disease back in January when I was 10 weeks pregnant. I had had the symptoms (weight loss, tremor, serious anxiety, poor sleep) for months but had almost got used to them Shock.

I've been on PTU since then and have only just stabilised. I'm 29 weeks now and my baby is growing absolutely perfectly and is moving non-stop which is a big relief.

I'm seeing consultants every 4 weeks, having growth scans and also being tested for antibodies which would have a very small chance of passing to the baby.

They will really look after you and its awesome seeing the baby get bigger at each scan. My other half keeps grinning at each one nut gets as nervous if not more with all the other blood tests. Your midwife will refer you and will keep in touch and answer or get answers you need.
