Weird question I know! But a woman at work was almost bragging about how big her placenta and this is why she gained and then lost so much weight with the delivery.

Is this something they actually measure?

Nope! They check it over to make sure it's come out in one piece, but that's it.

Yes, we do weigh them! They don't normally weigh so much that it would have affected her weight gain though!

why do they get weighed? I remember mine being checked to ensure it was complete.

Yes. All of mine were. Sizes also comment-worthy, but actually only lost half a stone with each baby which doesn't seem like much.
