I'm 16 weeks pregnant but my morning sickness isn't showing any signs of disappearing "luckily" it really is just morning sickness, when I first wake up I often retch and throw up the little that is in my stomach.

I have a 16 month old ds and the retching scares him :( I shut the bathroom door and dp has him in a different room but he runs to the bathroom door and says mamma mamma! In a worried voice :( I think he thinks mis mummy is being attacked by a monster.

With ds I was occasionally sick but it was more a traditional dignified puke without the terrible retching.

I don't really have any control over the sound, dp has insinuated that I'm being over dramatic but I really have no choice, it's just what my body does.

Any tips to minimise the sound?

I can sympathise. Try deep breathing... It sometimes worked for me but mostly it's an involuntary compulsion so not much you can do. Heaving is different to just bringing up food like with indigestion etc. My 'd'h took great delight in telling everyone I sound like a walrus. Not what you want to hear when you feel utterly rubbish (and are peeing yourself because of the convulsions).
Hope yours disappears soon.

Oh and if it's on an empty stomach- try keeping something besides the bed to eat before you get up. I kept a banana. Even though it came back up immediately, it was better than acidic bile.

I think the walrus description is pretty accurate, it's not kind to tell other people though!

I'm sitting in bed sipping coke and nibbling on crackers, hopefully it helps, thank for the tips :)

Run a tap in the bathroom?

Running the tap is a good idea thanks littlefoot! I will get dp to put some music on in the room he is too.
