Is this normal? I feel so sick and tired and have got no appetite. baby has been really active in my tummy all day too! I had the baseline bloodtest and glucose drink at 8am, followed by 9am second blood test. The rest of the day has been a nightmare- barely have the energy to make some bread and butter.

I felt like that too. I still have morning sickness so the fasting made everything so much worse.

I have had the same test today....felt awful too. It took me a long time to finish the glucose drink (it was orange flavour)...the reply from the guy doing the test: well its hardly a Mojito!!..LOL! Im only 8 weeks and he was surprised at how early they were sending me for the test!

Sorry you're both feeling rough too! I'm 25 weeks today and past all the sickness, but have just vomited - headachy and feel boiling hot too - hope I'm not coming down with something as have to fly tomorrow - argh - typical! Trying to force some plain wholemeal pasta down now, but every mouthful is a struggle. yuk

I refused the GTT as I was worried about the fasting and how ill it might make me feel xx

They just sent me for it....but when I saw all the blood being taken, I worried a bit too but I was fine in the end

I was just bloated all day afetr having to down a bottle of lucozade! And i had to wait two hours after the first blood test urs must be different to my docs. I had terrible trapped wind the next day aswel, never touching licozade again -.-

Yep - I think it's all the sugar and then the sugar dip you get from the insuline.

Love

Yeah, it is horrible, I felt so bad after mine that I had to come back home and snooze on the sofa for a bit (after having a good cry! Lame I know!). I still had to go to work after though!
