Hi,
I had thrush on and off throughout my first pregancy, and I've had it once so far with my sedond (due in Jan). The Doctor has said it's very common in pregnant women due to hormonal changes in the body, and it's safe to use the cream and a pessary. The only thing you should avoid in future is oral medication - but I wouldn't worry if you've already taken it before you know you were pregnant. I was in the same situation last time round, and everything was fine...

I had thrush at the start of my pregnancy, was pescribed Canestan cream and pessery. Have also been diagnosed with it again at the end of this pregnancy, again have got a pessery and cream. Too scared to use pessery just yet as I'm still sore from the birth 13 days ago.
