Can anyone help **NEED A SCAN PLACE OPEN TODAY**

Hi does anyone know where my friend can get a scan done today. She is early stages of pg and has had some bleeding..........poor woman is pulling her hair out and can't get a nhs one done until thursday...............it needs to be essex/around M25.

Really really appreciate your help.

Are none of the EPU at hospitals open?

I went to an EPU on a Bank Holiday.. actually I think it was today. Or if she goes to her doc on call (Emergency doc) they can refer her to her local hospital as an emergency.

She should have a local emergency EPU, but, have to say that unless she has severe pain with it as well, they arent likely to hurry it.

tell her to go to the local A&E and tell them she has had bleeding, period like pains and she is panicing.

they will offer her the scan there. she may have to wait a while but if she plays it up abit and shows them just how worried she is they will get someone for her.

in my local hospital they asked me to come back the following day. dont think i would lie though. but thats just me.

I miscarried on the Easter holiday weekend, had severe bleeding and passed big clot, went to A&E a gybie examined me and said I was miscarrying but they couldn't do a scan as it's not a medical emergancy and EPU was closed. Had to wait 2 days.

hope she's OK.

thanks so much for replies, I think she will wait until tomorrow, I just need to get her on MN now so she can share this as when something like this happens, MN really is the best place to chat as there are so many on here who have been there before
