Advice please....

Hi ladies,
I am currently 39 weeks pregnant and for the past couple of hours have been having tightening of the belly and very sharp shooting pains in my vagina, so bad I have to get up and walk about ( that does not make them go)
Could this be labour starting, should I be worried?

Certainly sounds like something is happening. I don't think it's anything you should be worrying about but if you are then phone your labour ward to discuss. Otherwise I would wait to see how things progress.

it could just be braxton hicks.
are the tightenings getting more painful?

They are getting stronger but it's the shooting pain really low that I am worried about, I will give the hospital a ring x
