Strange feeling in my bump

Hi all

Just wondering wether this was 'normal' or if it's something I should speak to a midwife about. I'm assuming it's nothing to worry about as it doesn't hurt but it does feel weird.

I'm 17 weeks (just) and I have a proper little bump now. Since last week, one side of my bump, the right side has been feeling strange. It feels 'full' and kind of hard. If I bend over it feels uncomfortable. No pain though. Its to the right of my belly button almost equidistant to my side, so really is very one sided. Rather than just off slightly to the right.

Is this where baby has decided to camp out?? Could that be why it feels very different to the other side? Not feeling any movement yet so I cant use that to help out. I didn't expect to feel baby right over to one side, if at all really as it's still so small...

Or perhaps it's just something else getting a bit squished? Has anyone else had this at all?

Yep, itsyour baby :) mines the same and has been since 16wks! Im now 29+7 :D and i can tell you it gets more uncomfy as they get bigger -.- i usualy poke our lil man and tell hi. To move as its normally when hes sticking his arse up! Worried me today as i hadnt felt him all morning, then he started all of sudden, he decided to pay a visit to the left side of me tummy :) my placentas that side so im guessing thas why i hadnt felt him must if bee. Cushioning the movements. Needless to say hes back in his favourite spot lol oh and its worse with the braxton hicks! X

Also most people - according to pregnancy books etc' - feel their bump grow on their right side. Weird huh?

I have exactly the same but on the left! its constantly solid there, and the rest of my bump changes from hard to soft throughout the day! The hard bit is where i get kicked the most too! x

How exciting!!! I'm a bit surprised as they found the heartbeat at my 16wk appt right in the middle of my tummy!! Just assumed therefore that this was where baby was and where all babies would be!!!

I have actually felt a few bubbles there today, so perhaps that's the buba saying hello! Still early days so very hard to tell if it's movement / gas / my imagination! Eagerly awaiting a good old poke from it on my right hand side now.
