Diarrhoea - early labour sign?

I'm 36+2 and for the past 2 days have had diarrhoea (sorry!!) - nothing bad or uncomfortable. I keep reading that diarrhoea is an early sign of labour but is this just wishful thinking...just wondering how far off From birth I may be? It's first baby which is supposedly usually late..

Well, it can be a sign. But it can just be diarrhoea....

Honestly, at 36 weeks I would try really hard not to analyse everything as a possible sign. It could be 6 weeks yet, and if it is you will drive yourself demented if you second guess every single minor physical symptom. I mean that in the nicest possible way as someone who is no +12....
