Clomid-community gynaecologist

Hi all
My GP won't prescribe me clomid, she says I need a letter from a consultant. I've managed to convince her to refer me to the community gynaecologist. Has anyone managed to get clomid through community gynaecologist? (I'm not referring to a consultant in the hospital, but the community based gynae that deals with family planning etc.).
Thanks

I got pregnant using clomid and had to go through the fertility clinic at the hospital x

Thanks, I thought as much. I've gotten pregnant twice on clomid but always been prescribed and monitored by private consultant which is expensive.

If you get it make sure you get monitored. As I didn't and gained so much weight from it was not fun. I went within three month (had the same diet as before) from a size 9 to a size 16...
Lucky me I got pregnant half a year later and lost all the extra weight when I gave birth to my son
