Hello I don't know how far gone I am as I got caught straight after a miscarriage and I didn't have a period,,, i stopped bleeding on the 4th march, well basically my question is can you miscarriage any time in the first 12 weeks or after 9weeks its less likely.. basically I need reasureance I'm petrified that I'm gonna lose this baby aswel :( also has anyone had 3 MC's and had a baby after..

Everyday you are pregnant you less likely to miscarry than the day before. 12 weeks is not a magical turning point. If everything is good at 9 weeks your risk is about 3%, by 12 weeks it's reduced to less than 1%.

Have you had an early scan? I got one after two miscarriages (currently 20 weeks with 3rd pregnancy and all good) but I guess different NHS trusts might have different rules. If you haven't been offered one automatically I'd call the EPU directly and ask for one due to anxiety. If they won't give you one see your GP and ask them to refer you. 4 miscarriages back to back for no reason is very unlikely (about 1 in 625, or 0.16%)

Hi I don't know whether this helps but I caught straight after miscarrying in jan, I was unsure about my dates and was worried because it was so soon after. I spoke to my gp and was referred for an early scan which helped to put my mind at rest as a heartbeat was detected At 7 weeks. I don't know whether an early scan is an option for you or what your MC history is but as far as I'm aware the chances of miscarriage can decrease considerably after a heartbeat is detected. I got an early scan after one mc, the hospital insisted. So I would ask your EPU, especially if you aren't sure of dates.

Many, many women have 3 losses then a baby. More than 70% without any treatment, and more (hopefully to include me, I am 21 weeks pregnant) with simple medication such as aspirin, progesterone, clexane etc'.

As PP have said, do ask your EPU for a scan. Actually you should have a scan anyway after a loss to check for clots or stuck materials which can cause infections (and very rarely, so don't worry unduly, false positives) - if you got pregnant again so quickly, I guess you didn't have this? Also the cycle after a loss is so random it will help date the pregnancy, and confirm for example it wasn't a twin and the other is still there.

Just to add my current pregnancy happened straight after a M/C in December with no period in between. I was tracking ovulation so knew my dates were right. When did you get a positive test? It's unlikely you would have got a good positive test before 3/4 weeks pregnant so that gives some clue to how far along you are.
