Anyone pregnant again within a short space of time?

I'm an older mum. Dd is 12 weeks. Dp and I would like one more dc. Would love to hear people's experiences, both the good & bad...

Sorry I have no personal experience
But my SIL fell pregnant 3 weeks after the birth of her first and then second was 3 weeks early making them exactly 9 months apart.

The kids get on fab, she coped amazingly well, she says it wasn't difficult as she was in the swing of baby mode already, everyone thinks they are twins. I think there are pros and cons to however long you leave it.

DS is 5 now, one on the way. Pros being I can focus on baby whilst he's at school, get in sleep etc, cons being I was just getting lie ins back and a more independent child!

Hi yes me! Found out when ds was 16 weeks am now 17 weeks and he is almost 8 months, this will be dc4. It's still quite early days but at the mo I feel fine I was lucky and the ms wasn't that bad had a couple of weeks of all day nausea but no actual sickness. I found weeks 9-11 really hard because I was totally exhausted but that has got so much better.

I think the fact that my ds is a really good sleeper helped so Im not up in the night with him so I can get a decent nights sleep!

This is going to be my last baby so I'm hoping that by doing it close together it means they will kind of be at the same stage and enjoy doing the same things. I'm 36 and had my first at 27 and felt that if I didn't do it quickly I would probably never do it again and I really wanted 4.

I know it's going to be hard in the beginning and for the first year I'll have 3 at home with me except for 3 mornings a week when dd is at nursery, but in the grand scheme of things it's really not for that long and hopefully the will be close! :)

I have an 11 month old gap between my 2 DC...completely unplanned. I got told lots of times I was insane.
The first 2 years were a blur but they are now the best of friends and to top it off they are in the same school year. They are in nursery together at the moment and start reception in September and are already crying after being told they will be in different classes.
Am pregnant with Dc3 now and hoping it will fit in with them since they are inseparable
Can be frightening and is hard work but will be worth it if you make it through the first couple of years I promise

With my other dc there were 2.4 & 3.5 year age gaps. At the time I thought they were perfect. Older ones in nursery / school now it doesn't work. All very different stages. Dd is much more grown up then ds.

My age,ebf & thyroid will determine the age gap this time!

I have 11 months age gap between my dc and twins.

its hard work but we are getting there. there is never a dull moment. :)

I'm pregnant with DS5, there will be a 13 month age gap. I've had a 22 month age gap before and those 2 get on best out of my 4 so I'm hoping DS4 and DS5 will be close too.

I'm currently pregnant with DC2 and there will be a 17 month gap between babies when the second is born. It's been hard in that I've had to battle through the sickness and exhaustion with no break as DC1 is very demanding at the moment. But I am very much still in baby mode and am really looking forward to having two so close in age.
