I'm 35 weeks pregnant and this afternoon all of a sudden started with some low don cramping/achy heavy feeling this lasted about 2 hours then it seemed to go but then started with low back ache feeling! Does anyone know what this is? Still got the back ache now and still feel the odd heavy feeling down below????

Hi Hellymummy,

Sorry to dive straight in but have you been to the toilet recently?! Constipation is a massive pain (literally) during pregnancy and I have exactly what you are describing when I need to go!

I am 38 + 3 with DS2 and I even had to call DH home from work the other day as I was in so much pain.

ALSO at 35 weeks the heavy feeling could be the babies head engaging into your cervix which could give you back ache or even Braxton Hicks (practice contractions) I would advise using the search engine above to type in each suggestion ie "Braxton Hicks" and see which symptoms match up to what your experiencing. Good luck and let me know how you get on x

Bowels haven't been emptying very well at all recently, I didn't go at all yday and then today I did go but not great, so maybe bit of bowel issue then?

Yeah very possibly, its amazing how painful it can be when your stomach is already tender from being pregnant!

Make sure your drinking plenty of water and maybe some fruit juice to help things along.

How are you feeling today?

x
