Hiya there was one of these threads when I was pregnant with my DS now 2, & it was fab so thought I'd start one.

I seem to go through this stage in the 1st & 3rd trimester. I basically have no clue what to eat everyday. I don't have aversions I just don't fancy anything & spend ages in the supermarket looking for inspiration.
The thread also helped me be more aware of what I was eating - healthy or totally crap Blush

So what are you eating????

I'm 27 weeks and so far today iv had:

Breakfast: Alpen
Lunch: 2 wholemeal pitta breads filled with smoked salmon, salad & cheese.
Snack: 3/4 of a chocolate bar - DS ate the last 1/4 lol.

So what have you eaten today? Inspire me Smile

I've eaten so many avocados this pregnancy. With bacon is always good but sometimes when I can't be bothered cooking (which is a lot!) I mash one with 2 tea spoons of olive oil, 1 teaspoon of balsamic vinegar and a pinch of salt then I spread it on a slice of toasted warbutons seeded batch loaf it hits the spot every time!

Tunnocks tea cakes are so good but almost impossible to have just one, had three in one go the other night really not good! But everyone knows marshmallow is a superfood it's the new goji berry!!

Hi
I'm new to mumsnet and loving this thread.
I'm 15 weeks, first baby and so far have eaten well with the odd wobble on a few not-so-good foods and popcorn. Popcorn's not too bad but it is if you dyson a large bag in a sitting. It's the salt I'm going crazy for! So I 'm making sure I salt my food.
So on today's menu:
Breakfast: Muesli - with a little escavation on the unwanted chunks of pineapple and other dried fruit that doesn't hit the spot. With alpro soya milk (light)
Snack: Banana
Lunch: A big salad from a local cafe that had just about every leaf, tomato and goodness going. With an egg on the side. I have a big thing for eggs. Love an egg!
Snack: Banana 2 of the day with a little pot of plain yogurt
Sins: Today was a day of discovery. M&S giant buttons. Totally over indulged. Must learn not to pig out when the feeders in the office buy naughty treats.
Dinner: Risotto - homemade with chorizo and cheese. Supported with a salad.
We'll see how I get with that:)

Wow! I seem to have eaten loads compared to everyone else:
bowl of cereal; one banana; 3 satsumas; large box of salad; grapes & strawberries; one wholemeal pitta bread; slice of cake; one finger of a Twix; 3 chewy sweets; rice & veg for tea followed by 3 chocolate biscuits and 3 jaffa cakes..... I'm 10 + 4...

I'm trying to be good, but we still have chocolate from Easter, my 4 year old isn't that fussed by sweet stuff, so too much temptation, I have analysis done every month (ex pat the norm over here) and everything's fine, I know this month I've piled it on but fortunately my ob gyn didn't ask me my current weight. Gonna see what everyone else is eating, seems really healthy so far.

Beef stroganoff and rice

Urgh. I feel like the worst mother in the world. I must eat healthier tomorrow!!!

Oh god i also snacked i dds leftover sausage and crisps :O

Shortiee2707 · 28/04/2014 20:45

I really struggle to eat things like:
•bread/toast
•pizza
•chocolate
•garlic
•BBQ sauce
•plain chicken fillets
•blackcurrent squash (used to be my fav)
•anything greasy!
Which is very very strange for me as I'm a huge 'chocoholic'!! And I usually eat these all of the time :)
Don't get me wrong, I loved my fruit and veg anyway but all I am enjoying lately are things like:
•melon
•colliflower
•Broccoli
•carrots etc etc! Just anything healthy! i Can't get enough.. Makes me hungry thinking about it! I suppose I'm better off though Grin
Also.. Very strangely, I've been craving a lot of salt! Mainly salted crisps?
Oh and fruity yoghurts :P yum!
