Hi future mummies,

I am today 38+3 and having not such a great time. I am obviously sooooo looking forward to meeting my little man (DS2) but also struggling with feeling nauseas 24/7 and aches pains and now the added bonus of piles (Sorry if TMI) etc.

Looking for a few ladies in the same boat to chat about, excitement, nerves, symptoms, anything at all to support each other, so bring your questions, stories comments and lets start the countdown together :-)

Ah congrats AmberSweet and Nahmate!!! and welcome to the world littleman!

When you have a spare min Ambersweet (haha) we want details, labour, names, weight etc :-)

38+6 today! Spent all day yesterday for my pre op to my ELCS on 7th May! Just hit me by next wed at the vey latest I will have my boy in my arms (yay!!!) Kind of hoping I don't go into natural labour now as I am at ease with my plans for next Wednesday.

Was up all night with hot water bottle on my back, turned out the excruciating pain I had for roughly 12 hours was simply I needed the loo!
Made me think if I can't handle that how can I handle natural labour!

Good Luck Nahmate and let us know when we can start celebrating for you Thanks

Posted too soon! Ds2
Was born 3pm Tuesday 8lbs15 so very healthy weight for 38 weeks! Dread to think hope I'd have coped if he went to 40 or I had to be induced!

Waters broke at 9am at home (while dp was on the school run with ds1 and had left his phone at home Confused).

Went to hospital but wasn't seem til about 12 where the midwife asked repeatedly if I was sure my waters had actually gone because she couldn't see any indication that they had Hmm. Had been having manageable pains until about 2pm when I had my first bad one, told the midwife when I needed to push because she still wasn't sure if I was in full blown labour and was contemplating sending me home!

She was surprised when she could tell me baby's hair colour!

And now he's here all snuggly and gorgeous Smile We called him Ewan James Smile

Aw amber congratulations again

I had similar water related problems! !

Firstly I was refused to be admitted to labour because they didnt believe I was in labour...because I had a calm composer.

Opps sorry!!
They admitted me to the post natal ward...I did feel sorry for the new mums having to listen to me!

I finally got examined after 12 hrs of labour to which they exclaimed "omg your 8cm!!"

Cue a panic rush to labour ward lol ds born 20 mins .later one push and a quick catching midwife!

Sending positive labour vibes to you ladies xxxx

Weighing a nice 7lbs !

So all in all a eventful Labour but all happy and well

Congratulations Nahmate!

Still nothing here. Well, a lot of pain with BH and cramps and I was sick last night but I slept well and everything has stopped today.

So impatient!

Beautifulboy1 · 03/05/2014 22:08

Congrats Nahmate!
Sorry haven't been on for a while but have been doing some serious nesting the last few days! My DH even warned people not to come round cause if they are sat here long enough they will get bleached :-)

Trouble is this scares me as I now really want to hold out until my CS wed and I'm thinking hmmm nesting = labour any min!

Thing is everything is now perfectly planned which is a very relaxing and stress free thought for me but if I go into spontaneous labour then I have to start phoning around to see who can have DS1 for, I suppose at least it is a bank hol weekend so most people are off anyway.

Fingers crossed you are next then SizzlesSit as I am quite happy to be fourth on Wednesday.

Good luck ladies and congrats to those who have already made it Wine Thanks

DS2 was born at 9am this morning (39+4). After a night of irregular contractions he arrived very quickly - 5cm to birth in 25 painful minutes.

3.49kg and 50cm.

We're both well but Im currently fonctionning on very little sleep but hormones are stopping me snoozing!

Fingers crossed for everyone else.
