Managing movement anxiety

Such a bad night's sleep last night because I convinced myself something was wrong with my little one (23+1) when he didn't have his usual burst of nightly activity. He was moving a little when prodded, but not with his usual gusto. I hardly slept and each time I woke I was nervously trying to find signs of movement again. This morning he's back to usual and kicking a bit. I knew last night in my head that he probably was moving a bit, he'd just moved around, or he was just tired, but I couldn't stop my anxiety running away with me. Has anyone more experienced got any advice on how to manage this kind of concern?

I'm at the same stage 23 + 4 and he has def settled into quiet mode I don't know it I've suddenly put on weight and he he has more room

I'm not sure when the count the kicks starts from

I don't know either
I have a Doppler which helps

Such a worry these kids from the second they are conceived !

Don't manage it. Trust your instincts and get yourself checked over. Better to be a neurotic preg lady Grin

I lost count the amount if times I went to my local assesment unit with reduced movements. It's what they are there for.

Kick counting recommended from 28 weeks as movement can be a bit hit or miss before then. It is really easy for the baby to move into areas or turn round so that you can't feel the kicks before then.
this may be of interest.
