Had Show - How long now?

Hi, first time on mumsnet. I am 39+2 with first child and had show yesterday, very excited and thought yay it's nearly time. However have had nothing since. Called midwife and she said I could be waiting up to 2 weeks. How long did you have to wait after show till going into labor? Thank you very much!

With DS, (1st child) I waited about 2 weeks. With DD it actually came after I was woken up with my 1st contraction. Not very much help, I'm afraid.

hi had show with dd at 36wks then baby arrived at 39wks - so it can drag but suspect you won't have to wait so long as nearer your due date - good luck

With Ds i had a show about 2 mins before my waters went, dd1 had a show at 8:45 am and went into labout exactly 2 hrs later, and with dd2 had a show and didnt have her for another 10 days. xx

Thanks for that. I am still here, obviously. Nothing has happened yet! Few Aches and Pains and I think is this the start? Then nothing. Just have to be patient I guess (Extremely hard).

I had a show on the wed morning and by fri night a bouncing boy!!! If you're getting aches and pains as well it sounds like you're body's getting ready. Good luck with it all
