I may have flu... has anyone else had flu in pregnancy, I didnt decline the flu jab - just didnt hear anything about it after the first appointment so never got it done. Now I am 25 weeks and in bed with a really bad cough and cold atleast. So annoying, I don't have a temperature so hoping its not flu :) my gut feeling is to just rest.. hut then perhpas I go to the docs?

Thanks all xxx

I had the flu a couple of weeks ago. I made sure I rested a lot, drank plenty of water and took paracetamol when I had a temperature. There is nothing much the doctor can do unless it turns into a chest or sinus infection. I think resting made a big difference and was feeling much better with in a week, though the cough hung around for a bit. Hope you feel better soon.

Not had the flu, but nasty chesty cough & cold, completely blocked up! It's miserable but not dangerous. Drink lots of fluids, take paracetamol if need to bring a temperature down, and rest up. If you feel chest infection go see a dr to get checked.

Hot honey lemon and ginger might help!

I had the flu in january at 22 weeks. I ended up in hospital for a week as it was assumed I had a pe as it was 'atypical flu'and type A and only diagnosed by a swab. I had the flu jab and was apparently just unlucky. Take care of yourself and stay well hydrated.

I should say my flu caused pneumonia so thats the only reason I was in hospital. If it was just flu i think id have been ok at home.
