I thought mascarpone is ok to eat during pregnancy in anything according to this: www.babycentre.co.uk/x3175/is-it-safe-to-eat-cheese-during-pregnancy

It is only the mould ripened soft cheeses like brie and Camembert, and soft blue cheese that you are advised to avoid. Other soft cheeses (mascarpone, ricotta, Philadelphia) are fine.
