NCT refresher course

Going to post this in parenting thread too. Has anyone done an NCT antenatal refresher course. I'm interested because we only made it to one session last time because my baby was born prematurely by EMCS the following week. Therefore I still have no idea about labour! And the refresher courses say they cover things like introducing a new baby to older siblings etc.. Is it worth doing?? Cost is £97!

Hi we booked to do one of these courses as we have a 6 year gap between dc1 and dc2 so felt like we needed a reminder then 4 weeks before the course they cancelled it due to lack of interest! They did book us on to the full weekend course for no extra cost but that was for first time parents so we are not going to bother.we did the course for dc1 and I think the most useful thing was the friends we made but like I am sure you know that you make this in other places baby groups etc.

Hi, am booked onto a refresher course in July, will have a 2 year age gap between DD and DS. I booked on as didn't have much antenatal classes during first preg, I love in north london and found the NCT courses to be very expensive so did the free session at hospital. But after having spoken to lots of people who did nct courses they all say the same, best thing out of the course was the friendships they made. So I'm going for a refresher course, have to go alone though as DH is Muslim and July is Ramadan and course is during the evening so he won't be coming as he will need to pray and eat
