Hiya, I think i have thrush. No details we all know the symptoms. I am 5 weeks pregnant and the chemist won't let me use Canestan as it is "unlicenced to sell in early pregnancy without a doctors advice." I've heard you can use Natural yoghurt as well. Can i use that in early pregnancy because the symptoms are drivng me MAD

You can use natural yoghurt. It will relieve the symptoms but you'll need to see the GP and get something to treat it with. Get some Canesten for your dh as well, otherwise he'll pass it back to you.

I would speak to your gp then. You may just be able to call the surgery, tell them the situation and ask for a prescription without being seen.

All unlicenced means is that other countries use it freely but the uk have not approved it. I needed piriton for dd when she was 5 months due to hols and I wanted to be prepared (heat rash etc). I couldn't buy it over the counter BUT my gp prescribed it. Apparently paediatritions in hospitals use it but its unlicenced in the uk. HTH.
