midwife home visit

Sorry I know this has been asked before but I did read the answers!
I'm 35 weeks and my midwife has just booked a home visit for next week which she said would take an hour. What can I expect from it...?

We will have to agree to disagree on this. Im not spending this beautiful day on Mumsnet being told by two strangers that my my views and opinions are basically null and void. I've understood and empathised with what you have said yet I feel as if my views, concerns and opinions have been dismissed.

I'm off to enjoy the glorious weather and spend time with my family.

Unfortunately if your not listening to us then yes, there is no point in the conversation continuing.

AFAIK it is a new service that is based on areas and will be rolled out across the country depending on its successes.

It is not about forcing services on people it is becoming the standard.

If you feel the need to report back on the way you were made to feel then I would encourage that as I am sure they will consider it (unless they see it as a concern of course, which is the one thing thats stopped me complaining).

Mine was just a normal appointment, but at home - blood pressure, urine sample, felt my blood, had to take some bloods. We went through the birth plan. Discussed the possibility of a home birth. That was it really, she didn't look around or even ask me about where the baby would sleep.
