Help please! Preg or not??

Morning ladies, I'm new to this site and wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation to me!

Found out almost 2 weeks ago that I was pregnant, the day after I started to have very light bleeding on and off for 5 days, ended up going to the emergency docs over bank holiday weekend as although I know it can be normal to bleed in the early days I wasn't sure what was considered to be too long!

The doc wasn't very helpful and said it could well be an early miscarriage and to see my own doctor on Tuesday - yesterday I did a test and the positive line was so so faint, I probably would have missed it if I hadn't looked close enough - I went to see my doctor as planned who has arranged for me to have an internal scan next week when I will be 7 weeks! As I haven't passed any clots she isn't sure what's happening.

I have convinced myself I've had an early miscarriage, the bleeding was no where near like my usual heavy period but as the doctor is sending me for a scan to look for a heartbeat I feel like I have a small bit of hope!

Has anyone experienced anything like this? Thank you in advance x

I had brown discharge a lot on last pregnancy but gp referred me straight away to an early pregnancy unit. Is this an option. Can you go along yourself ? We can here ( not in UK ) maybe try and ring your local unit directly. I think your gp should have been a bit more supportive.

I'm sorry you're going through this, mrssummer. I had spotting too at about 7 weeks and my GP referred me to my local EPU, as has happened to you. That appointment sounds a good time to go as at 7 weeks you should be able to see a heart beat if all is progressing well (at 6 weeks you might not be able to see one and would have to go back to confirm). The scan will probably be internal (which doesn't hurt at all) and should be over pretty quickly so whilst the wait for the scan is long and painful at least you should know quickly once you're there. I can't say all will be well or not, but there are plenty of positive stories on here. My best advice would be to avoid google, rest as much as you can, put your feet up and just try not too worry too much until your scan. Best of luck to you.

I'd second mssleepy and say go with the 7 week app. I know it'll be a horrible wait but it'll be much easier to confirm the pregnancy (due to heartbeat) and get a more definitive answer rather than a 'well we're not sure so come back later' which can happen early on
