Pelvic floor muscles...

Ok, 9 weeks pregnant with DC3 and my pelvic floor muscles are woeful, really struggle to hold myself if I'm desperate for a pee, could hold on for hours before the DC's. Can I start the exercises now and have them in decent shape by 7 months time? If I can't, I'm in trouble, dear god! I know I should have been a good girl and kept them up but I got lazy.

Anybody else want to join me on operation pelvic floor Grin?

Im 32 weeks and wondering have i completely run out of time!!

Been doing them but very VERY sporadically.. certainly not 3 times a day..

I started doing pilates once a week at about 4 months, am now 32 weeks. It's made a huge difference. I very very rarely remember to do pelvic floor stuff outside of the classes but I know that my pelvic floor has got stronger. Earlier when I coughed I'd sometimes wee a bit (I blame years of allergies), now that doesn't happen at all.
So, 9 weeks is certainly not too early and I bet 32 weeks isn't either!

tks saranga.. started pilates last week actually- i suppose you are right, never too late! Doing them right now actually.. i mean it's so easy to squeeze them in (fnar) that there is no excuse at ALL!

I have decided that whenever I'm sat watching TV is when I'm going to do them, hopefully they should be sorted by November. I really don't fancy having to stick Tena Lady on the shopping list! I might look into Pilates, is it a general class you go to or one specifically aimed at pregnant women?

I do them whenever I stop at traffic lights! I only have 1 set between me and work but at least that means they get done twice a day because I always have to wait at them :)
