Vomiting bug, should I worry?

I am 19 weeks with DC1, over the weekend (perfectly timed to coincide with 30th birthday Hmm) I caught a d&v type bug. On Saturday I couldn't keep anything at all down for about 20 hours, since then I have not eaten much and I'm trying to keep drinking but I think I'm pretty dehydrated. I'm also sleeping a lot. I'm over the worst now but should I call the midwife anyway? Should I worry about the effect on the baby? Thanks

Have you had any Dioralyte to replace what you have lost from vomiting etc or anything with Glucose in will help you .

If you are over the worse then I wouldn't worry though I might mention it at your next midwife appointment Smile

I had it, it was horrendous I'd just read the severe morning sickness thread and convinced myself I had it Blush I had my 12 week scan two weeks later I was fine.

If your worrying I'd ring just to put your mind at rest :)

Op I had exactly the same at 19 weeks. Baby was fine. Called midwife but she never got back to me Hmm so rang labour ward who said it was fine and just drink as much as possible.
Hope you feel loads better soon! Thanks

I had it at 20 weeks with DC1. He was fine, I wasn't! I'd mention it to your GP or midwife and get some rehydrating powders on prescription.

Just keep drinking even if you bring it up again as you just keep hydrated. Def mention it to your MW just in case x
