I have had terrible bowels the whole pregnancy. Some days constipated some days diarrhea. Sometimes it's agony to go. It's hormonal changes I understand that makes it so bad. But if in doubt call gp or your midwife and they will reassure you and check it's not a stomach bug. There is a stomach bug going round at the moment though so it might just be that time of year for illness.

If it's unusual for you go to GP or out of hours service to get checked out. I had terrible diarrhoea and cramps two weeks ago (19wks) went to out of hours and they diagnosed UTI, took antibiotics and it cleared right up. Don't understand the link, but I'm glad I went to the drs!
