Any reassurance or advice out there ? I'm 44 and never been pregnant before so my DH and I were in total shock but delighted when I tested positive last week.... Think I'm about 8 wks but doc has just rung with first blood test results and I'm feeling so sad that progesterone levels are 'a bit low' and this miraculous pregnancy seems to be going wrong...

Progesterone levels can be supplemented easily with Cyclogest pessaries or Gestone injections. Get back to your dr asap and don't leave until you get a prescription! Good luck.

First and foremost: Congratulations!

As regards the progesterone, has your doctor offered progesterone suppositories? I also had low progesterone levels and was given these for use quite a long way into the pregnancy ..... and DD is now eight!

Don't want to alarm you but if I were you I'd be on the phone immediately to get a phone appt and prescription before the bank holiday. Four days is a long time to worry......

Yes, I second that.
