Hi,
I'm about 34 weeks and had routine blood test at last midwife appt. Had a text today requesting I ring GP to discuss results, haven't had time so will do it tomorrow. Suddenly realised I don't know what they might show other than anaemia, does anyone else? Feel a bit worried about it all of a sudden!
Thanks :)

Anaemia top of the list most likely. Are you rhesus negative? Could possibly be related to that. Unlikely to be anything serious or they wouldn't be sending you a text would they?

That's true, I did just think to myself they'd have rung if it was serious!! Thanks. Wouldn't be surprised if anaemic cos been feeling pretty shit recently!

It will be anaemia for sure, I had mine done at 28 weeks and they said I would receive a letter or fone call from gp to go and see them regarding a prescription x

If it's GP it's likely to be low iron or vitamin D or something. They wouldn't do something 'scary' by text.

Low platelets is another problem caught by the routine blood tests, but not sure why you should contact the GP about that.

I'd say anemia. Anything else they'd want you to contact the hospital and get a consultant appt ime.
