Ectopic - methotrexate

I'm having this drug tomorrow. What have others experienced after taking it? Not sure what to expect. How long to take off work?

JOS, really sorry and sad to hear you're going through this .

I've taken it, but not for pregnancy related issues. It made me feel very sick and out of it, I couldn't think clearly at all. Thinking back, I needed to be off work whilst I was on it, and for about a week afterwards, although some of that may have been the pain rather than the drug itself.

I managed to only take a couple of days off but I walked around like a zombie for about 2 weeks. I only needed one dose but I did need to attend for blood tests every two days for about 10 days.

I also experienced rapid weight loss (over a stone) but this could have partly been due to stress.
