I'm really sorry but I have a TMI question!

I'm 18 weeks pregnant and I've read that some women have an increased, milky type discharge (I won't try to spell it!) which I believe is the bodies way of trying to reduce the risk of an infection, but how much is too much? I now have to use a liner daily and it isn't really doing the job. There's no discomfort or itch, no smell if I wear cotton pants or sniff when I wipe but I've always noticed a bit of an odour when using liners, nothing offensive but I just don't think they agree with me and in the past I stopped using them.

Has anyone else found this too?

I've had discharge since I was about 6 weeks. I tried a couple of types of liners but didn't get on with them either. I just bought a few extra pairs of nice cotton knickers and changed them twice a day. Some days it's not a lot but other days it can be quite a bit. Nothing to worry about.

Yes, that rings a bell, I think I was on a few pads a day though. To put your mind at rest, I think it sounds pretty normal. Hope the bump is treating you well Brew

Hi, I didn't want to read this and not comment even tho not pg so not sure on those symptoms. I found out a few years ago that I was allergic to latex and would have these exact symptoms after using a liner or pad. Wonder if they use this in the material and that's what's causing it or you? Hope this helps!

When I was pregnant I was wearing panty liners every day from about 16 weeks. The discharge was white and quite runny but I was assured by midwives that it was nothing to worry about and completely normal. Congratulations on your pregnancy Smile

If they don't freak you out then reusable panty liners may solve this for you... Nice and absorbent but no funny chemicals to make things smelly (or I guess those nature care liners might be better?)

I did consider those lentil, now that I know the volume is normal I might buy some.
