Conflicting due dates

I know the first day of my LMP was 9th March and all online sites say my due date is 14th December and I'm 5 weeks. I went for my initial appt with the midwide today, who used her wheel calculator and says I am 7 weeks and due 1st December, which doesn't make any sense to me! Has anyone experienced this? 7 weeks would be lovely....... lol!

Well, the 9th March was 5 weeks ago....

I would politely suggest that your midwife has made an error. She may have misunderstood what you said, interpreting 9th March as likely date of conception (in which case you would be 7 weeks).

Thx cogitosum and spindelina! My OH was there and we said we thought it was due 14th! That as a date of conception would work though - I can only guess that's what she's done! She coming for a home visit on Wednesday to take the medical history, so I ll check then!

Yes i am struggling with when i would be due as well. My cycles have been going mad, 34 days, 42 days 44 days!! So its hard to pin point my actual day.
We dtd twice first week after af finished which my first day of cd was 3rd march... I done a test over a week ago which was negative... We dtd ok 30th march and yesterday i have a positive. Is it possible i had a af from 3rd march - 8th march, and ovulated around cd28??? Is that even possible, so i am struggling to figure out my due date to when we concieved!

Hmmm that sounds interesting Babytinks! It will be interesting to see what your midwife makes of it lol! Guess our 12 wk scans will be important lol!

Yeah definitely htb. I was at the doctor today and told her and she said we'll just stick with average cycle of 28 days so my due date is the 8th december... I am pretty pee'd off at that thought because i know my dates are right around the 18th.... Which puts me at 4 and a bit weeks so when i do have my 12 week dating scan i'll really only be 9/10 weeks....?

I suppose i'll just have to suck it up and get on with it lol

Baby tinks don't worry if they do your 12 week scan too early they'll have to do another one as you can't do the nuchal tests until around 11/ 12 weeks. So just tell them that you told them you were only 9 or 10 weeks and that they didn't listen- they should book you in for one at 12 weeks and if not badger them into it- the tests are important if you want them, but also for piece of mind in terms of mmc, my mmc was found at my 12 week scan and showed a baby measuring 9 +4 so if they refuse to scan you again- state that you need to confirm you haven't miscarried. (not trying to scare, just was grateful I had that scan or I could have gone on for however many more weeks thinking I still had a live baby).

They'll adjust dates after your scan. I had 4 different dates given to me by different mw's / sonographers / consultants.

The one I got on the MN due date calculator was closet btw

Oh thats good to know.... I feel excited now i'll get one earlier and one later :)

Can't wait to find out when first scan will be, the doc has calc me at around 6 weeks 2 days.....
I reckon i'm 4 weeks 6 days..... Not so far apart but still! Lol

Babytinks you may be surprised. I have a fairly regular 35 day cycle but was told they'd use 28 days til dating scan. I went along expecting to be nearly 11 weeks and instead I was 12 and 5! (Although ds was born at 42+1)

I did do a clear blue digi and this shows 2-3 weeks so it is really early stages for me..... Time drags when you find out this early it did for me last time before i mc! ack just gotta get on with it :) and wait for my scan date

The midwives wheels assume everyone has a 28 day cycle and ovulate on day 14. Any variation from that and it will be inaccurate. My midwife told me I would be due 26/7/14, but I worked out 1/8/14 as I have a 32 day cycle. 12 week scan confirmed 1/8/14. Not a big difference for me, but still a difference. Wait till your scan and go with due date from that - more likely to be accurate.

Thanks rafwife! Well i reckon i ovulated on cd28, which makes me like 3 weeks on sunday!! Digi test says i am 2-3 weeks.... so so early, we only had sex once on the 30th march!! And we are pregnant, wev been trying for months!! We had taken a month off to chill out a bit and de-stress, now i'm stressing again with these stupid dates, and i dont wanna be paying 80 quid for a scan when im maybe only 5-6-7 weeks at the scan and theres like nothing there well there will be and obv a heart beat at 6 weeks but i wanna see a bit more if you know what i mean?
I dont know what to do
