With DS I couldn't eat enough goat's milk products. Cheese, cream you name it. I even found some goat's milk fudge!
I had an aversion to eggs though. Just the mere mention of the word egg would be enough for me to gag.
With DD early on in the pregnancy I could polish of a giant pack of salt and vinegar crisps alarmingly quickly. Fig roll biscuits were consumed with unseemly haste.
Went completely off meat and brocoli and couldn't bear the idea of soft creamy things.
I felt the same icky feeling in both pregnancies but cravings and aversions were completely different with DS and DD. If I have a third it would be interesting to see if I get the same results.

Cutsie1 · 23/08/2006 23:10

For me it was Milk - Litres & Litres of it and it had to be ice cold & full fat, I gained loads of weight.

And meat...any meat...I felt like a cannibal the cravings were so strong..

Went off spinach which I always loved during pregnancy and still cannot stand it now

Have a healthy 2 year old DS who eats everything not fussy at all.

angelhunter · 24/08/2006 06:47

i craved chocolate cake early on but hot chips all the way through and mcdonalds cheese burgers. Keri fruit fesher drinks the berry one (don't know if youget this in uk or not but it's mineral water mixed with berry juices - i drank so much I think I should have been given shares in the company)
I had i girl

I craved carbohydrates with DS ... the more stodge the better ... savoury or sweet but it had to be carbs ...
With DD I craved sweet stuff - tinned fruit, fruity yoghurts ... anything sweet and fruity.

UselessMum · 24/08/2006 07:35

surprisingly really healthy stuff, tomatoes, apricots, apples, salads, fish... unbelieavable!! even went off chocholate completely 4 nine months. could not even look at it, and then, I swear 1/2hour after she was born I sent DH to get me a big 75% dark chock bar...

I have a girl.

UselessMum, CHANGE YOUR NAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

UselessMum · 24/08/2006 13:39

I know I know GS. Can't though, I feel quite attached to it now. Is it really that bad?

Greensleeves · 24/08/2006 13:40

Yes!!! And I bet it's not true

UselessMum · 24/08/2006 13:45

well I am a bit useless but only in a good way really... DD is very happy so I must do quite all right.

I'll think about something else anyway.

motherinferior · 24/08/2006 13:47

Gin, blue steak and blue cheese.

I suspect this is rather more to do with the pregnancy taboos on food than the fact I have never given birth to a Y chromosome.

fussymummy · 24/08/2006 14:35

Each time i was pregnant i went completely off garlic.
Just the smell would make me heave.
With my son i craved vinegar, Twix, cox apples but they had to be the big ones!!!
And weetabix.

With the two girls it was salad cream, and my favourite was kiwi and orange but it had to be peeled and chopped a certain way.
I also ate loads of cornflakes.

sugarboo123 · 04/08/2015 22:47

Doublebubblebubble · 06/08/2015 09:17

Pregnancy 1 - ended in early miscarriage.

Pregnancy 2 - with my DD now 5 - it was all about fruit (i couldn't get enough of oranges - i would go through a pack a day and i thought she would come out orange lol) and veg - couldn't get enough..

Pregnancy 3 - with my identical twin boys who were stillborn was more about the texture of food (Doritos, crackers etc) but meat and salt were the main things I was eating...

Pregnancy 4 - ended after a mmc at 11+4 but I was mainly eating bbq ribs, chicken wings etc (so I think boy personally - I know no one can be sure though)

Pregnancy 5 - Current pregnancy -is a boy!!- meat meat meat meat meat and meat... I'm 31 weeks and I still cannot stand fruit and veg (being forced to eat it though for you know health reasons. Lol) I couldn't eat chocolate early this pregnancy either

Also I've had hg every pregnancy so cravings have had to work around that..

Karelia81 · 06/08/2015 10:41

Sweets, chocolate (twix, mars bar, boost), donuts, coke, went off chicken and hot spices 1st trimester...been told it's a boy. (I do have a sweet tooth anyway).

NickyEds · 06/08/2015 10:54

Plaster dust, chalk dust -any fine dust really! -baby girl
Turns out I was a bit anaemic when the craving to eat chalk was at its worst so that might have something to do with it???

Skiptonlass · 06/08/2015 12:54

Having a boy.

No cravings at all. Still nauseous at 30 weeks and hating pretty much all food. Major turn offs being meat, spices any strong tastes. Can just about manage bread, dairy, fruit veg and seafood.

The only upside being I haven't piled weight on!

zannyminxoxox · 07/08/2015 14:57

My son was doritos and dip. My daughter was anything I fancied at the time as I felt so sick all day everyday and near the end with both chewing on wet sponge. I am pregnant again and in love with the rolo yogurts and cream cakes and sunday dinners with lots of cabbage and gravy. The thought of curry, chilli and spag bol makes me want to boff but are my husbands favourites
