I had the same cravings each time, only vastly stronger with dd than with ds.

Marmite, apples, Caesar salad, salty food, butter and real ale.

EvesMama · 23/08/2006 13:18

i had lots of heart burn = dd

swalesie · 23/08/2006 13:27

I had lots of heart burn, was convinced i was dying/having heart attack, much to the amusement of my doctor. Never knew it could be so painfull.

juicychops · 23/08/2006 13:39

had a baby girl

Smalline · 23/08/2006 16:02

Fruit, veg & cheese cheese cheese first pregnancy, had a boy.
Couldn't get enough chocolate down me, sparkling water in the gallons & cheese cheese cheese second pregnancy, had a girl.
Went off Indian during both pregnancies, also couldn't stand the smell or taste of coffee in the first trimester.
My son who is 5 will eat any fruit or veg that is put in front of him. My daughter who is 3, is not too fussed with fruit & veg, adores chocolate & loves to drink water. Both kids love cheese.

yummummy · 23/08/2006 18:14

With both DDs I craved Coke- bizarre, as I absolutely cannot stand the stuff- after giving birth both times went home and had completely gone off it again.. if only I had craved DIET coke I wouldn't have put on a dress size with each bump!!!

ronniemummy · 23/08/2006 18:16

Am having a girl...hopefully any day now!

Went off curry and any spicy food...normally love really hot spicy food- the more chilli the better- but can't stomach the smell.

HAd cravings for Big Soup initially- was the only thing I could eat.

Went through a phase of wanting really sour sweets- like cola bottles, sour cherries etc Until they started giving me heartburn!

Also, seem to remember liking salty crisps or beefy crisps at the start.

Went through phases of needing fruit as well.

Have generally gone off vegetables- typical healthy eating has gone out of the window! Especially green veg- only just able to eat it again in the last two months.

So generally, have not eaten as healthily as I always though I would when pregnant!

lick coal! i am expecting my third child, a girl, but havent had this before, i have resisted the urge to do it so far!

Greensleeves · 23/08/2006 18:20

When I was pregnant with ds2 I had MAJOR cravings for gravel/sand/aggregate. No joke. I remember walking past a group of workmen and going weak at the knees because of the plaster dust they were throwing up, it was delicious. DH was really worried, especially when I started begging him to go and filch me some aggregate from the railway line . You know that smell when rain hits dry concrete? It used to make me dizzy, it was so nice

nappyaddict · 23/08/2006 18:34

Wine gums for dd

mawbroon · 23/08/2006 20:51

I have one ds. Early pregnancy I craved vinegar - pickled onion monster munch and really vinegary salads or chips. I stopped myself swigging it from the bottle, but I could have easily done it. Later on in the pregnancy it was sweeties. I could polish off a half pound bag of liquorice allsorts in no time and yogurt covered raisins were a particlar favourite too.
