Hello there, I'm 31 wks and woke up this morning with what feels like a pulled muscle in my tummy. I'm finding it uncomfortable to walk (more than usual )and a little painful. Think I must have overdone it with the housework over the weekend! To cut a long story short is this a common complaint or do you think I should get it checked out by my Doctor.....hope I'm not going into labour .

I pulled a muscle in my side when I was about 20 weeks. I mentioned to a dr at an antenatal appt and she didn't give me anything for it, just told me not to be lifting big heavy objects!

I had this, it turned out to be where the baby had moved suddenly. Apparently the uterus hangs on a ligament either side and where the baby moved so suddenly it had pulled my ligament, it was soooo painful, i thought i was in labour!! i couldnt walk i just layed on the floor, i rang my midwife and she said to hve a warm bath and some paracetamol. it went away after a few days tho!

Thanks SophieB, it doesn't help me having to lug a flamin' laptop bag into and out of work every day. I'm going to leave it locked up in the office from now on. I wondered if I'd pulled my muscle in the bath last night actually. You know when you get up sometimes and your belly goes into some bizarre point ;-). Mind you I have been watching that Anthea Turner Perfect Housewife and felt so bad afterwards for the past weekend I've been cleaning etc like a nutjob x
