Is Angel Delight safe to eat during pregnancy? I have a real craving for it and am 30 weeks. I really hope it is safe as I have just eaten a whole butterscotch one to myself after tea.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

My god! Really??

ilovepowerhoop · 08/04/2014 19:20

of course it is ok

Misty9 · 08/04/2014 19:20

Ooh, that's made me want some! I'll have to settle for cold vanilla custard mmmm

mrsm22 · 08/04/2014 19:35

Thanks. I don't know why I wasn't sure. It is mainly sugar and milk really so I guess it should be safe and also a good source of calcium. It's so nice as well!

My polish husband is trying to convert me to this crappy polish version of it where you heat it up and it goes all lumpy.

I might tell him it's not ok for me to eat but
the normal british one is.

Ps i have nothing against poles but they make shit angel delight

Rootvegetables · 08/04/2014 19:52

I hope it's safe I'm getting through about 3 a week!

elvislives2012 · 08/04/2014 19:52

Bugger..... I want some now.

CumbrianExile · 08/04/2014 19:55

Brilliant. For some reason I thought you couldnt eat it in pregnancy too. I will be stocking up next time I go shopping Grin

Eggsiseggs · 08/04/2014 20:10

Are you me?!! This was one of my earliest cravings!
I ignored the chemicals and sugar and focused on all that healthy, bone-growing milk I was ingesting...

Poshsausage · 08/04/2014 20:45

Now i need some !

Strawberry butterscotch or chocolate hmmm ... ?

squizita · 08/04/2014 21:20

BUTTERSCOTCH. I know what I'm buying tomorrow!

mrsm22 · 08/04/2014 21:35

Ithoughtofitfirst - your reply really made me laugh. No I don't fancy the sound of the Polish version myself, it has to be the real thing!

I love butterscotch with bananas chopped up.
How it is supposed to feed 4 people is beyond me

Thisisimpossible · 09/04/2014 17:22

I saw this thread yesterday evening and guess what is now in the cupboard!! I shall try it with bananas MrsDavidBowie Grin

BobaFetaCheese · 09/04/2014 17:28

At least it's not a baby name thread Wink

Mmm, angel delight.

ithoughtofitfirst · 09/04/2014 18:12

4 people?! Bullshit. Must be a typo.

Bananas chopped up is a good shout.

I'm sending my husband out to get me some.

I think he is quite sad that i didn't take to the polish one. Bless him :(

I am not pregnant by the way Grin

EvilTwins · 09/04/2014 18:47

I ate loads of Angel Delight when I was pregnant. Also drank gallons of crusha milkshake. I think milk was my only genuine craving.

mrsm22 · 09/04/2014 20:26

Ooh butterscotch with chopped banana... I'll have to give that a go! The banana one is lovely too with a crumbled up flake on the top. They definitely don't serve 4, not in our house anyway! I can eat a whole one to myself pregnant or not pregnant.
Enjoy everyone!

I've been craving angel delight too! Has to be butterscotch, with a single chocolate button perched right in the middle. I can't be arsed to go and get enough milk for it though, so I've made a cherry flan instead. My (as yet not visible to the naked eye) bump is clearly wanting puddings today!
