hi, I am new to this but am now almost 6 weeks pregnant and been having cramps for 4 days - quite bad at times. I have had brown spotting since before my positive test but it has increased since then andcevery now and then is dark red - I think deep down I know it's a m/c but don't know what to do or if anyone else has had these symptoms - it's our 3 rd attempt - had 2failed IVF's before so worried it's all over already x

Hi Deborah,

I am currently 10 weeks pregnany through my 3rd ivf attempt with one previous miscarrriage behind me. I had tummy cramping from the day of embryo transfer and still have them today! Also know a couple of friends who had cramping during their whole first trimester so thinking Im one of those people! Think because the little one if growing so fast and hormonal changes etc. I also had browny discharge at around 6 weeks too, after calling the ivf clinic for advice the assured me that this was probably a good sign that implantaion had taken place and that it is probably due to the embryo implanting itself into the womb, I was told 1 in 3 women will have this. Ive also had 2 big bleeds with clotting etc one at 8 weeks and one on Saturday past, each time I have been scanned and baby is completely fine and only found out today that I have a seperation in my uterus because of the baby burrying in, all is completely fine and this is also quite normal but means I may bleed again as there is still a small clot there. Just some reassurance that bleeding etc doesnt always mean the end! Maybe worth contacting your midwife/clinic and you can get some reassurance from an early scan?
Easier said than done, try not to worry. Hope you can get some peace of mind real soon because there is nothing worse than feeling crazy with worry!

Take care,
Hope xxx
