DP loves bowling and wanted us to go for his up coming birthday.
Is it safe to go and lift and throw the heavy balls?

well I would think so - same as anything, be sensible and don't strain youself or your back etc.
I'm going tonight and I'm 13 weeks pregnant. and also beyond crap at bowling

Can't see why it wouldn't be - have fun!

Hi, hmmmm, I never thought bout that before! I went bowling when I was 1st preg,
Maybe u could just lift the really light balls?
Sure that'd be ok wouldn't it?

hmmm. is it tasteless to wonder about the possibility of being accused of cheating..."why are you hiding that bowling ball up your jumper..." I think it's fine as far as the baby is concerned but I seem to remember something about your ligaments loosening a bit when pg - making it a bit more likely you could strain something.

I'm going to lift really light balls and miss all the bleeding skittles or whatever you call them as usual except without my usual excuse of being drunk

Charleesunnysunsun · 21/08/2006 12:54

Yeah i only use the light ones anyway, but that's becuase i can't lift the others!
I am beyond crap at bowling also, luckily now i have a child i can use him as an excuse to put the sides up!

Saves me organisig a big party!

Don't see why not...could you use a slightly smaller/lighter ball than usual if you are worried? Just be aware of what you're doing and how you are feeling. Go for it, you're pregnant, not ill...
