I found out a week and half ago, I'm expecting my first and I'm coming up to my 7th week. We Went to Doctors last Monday and told due 1st December. First baby. Unplanned. Nervous. Excited. Anxious. Also getting married in just over 6 weeks :) Busy year for us! My only concern out of health and tiny bit vanity for the wedding day is Weight gain. Groan. I know being pregnant I shouldn't be focus on such things and it's expected but with the wedding around the corner I'm feeling stressed about keeping babe a secret plus any weight gain when I've got to fit in my dress! Constipation doesn't help right now. Don't get me wrong I'm on no mission to diet just planning to eat healthy so What I'm trying to say is is there anyway that anyone can recommend I beat the bloat and get my bowels moving properly again so I feel less large then I really should at his stage :(

I found my picky appetite (due to nausea) and no wine calories helped minimise weight gain in the first trimester! My bump probably started becoming obvious around 15/16 weeks as appetite improved. If you're 7 weeks now and 6 weeks to the wedding hopefully you'll just squeeze in your scan before the big day. And you can always hold your bouquet in front of your tum if not.

PS standard constipation advice would be lots of water, fruit and veg. You might just gave to get a bit creative with that depending how your appetite goes! Check out the antenatal club thread for December to see what ladies in the same position are finding works for them.

Thanks MrsMillions. I'm under no illusion there will be changes. I have my first midwife appt on 1st May. I've got text book everything right now. Cramping, nausea, tenderness, fatigue, headache, light headed, dizziness, thirsty and toilet trips, there's always some excitement waiting for the 'evidence ' of pregnancy to kick in but right now I'm struggling to get my act together and get to work for 9am keep needing to lie down. Feel like I'm coming down with something but everyone handles it differently. Will definitely up fruit and veggie intake when I'm no feeling queasy. Smile
