So worried please help

5 weeks pregnant not seen anything on scan yet as they said it was too early at 4 weeks due to hcg levels only being 378. Being rescanned on wednesday but been getting sharp pains in right side and groin, has anyone else experienced this ? Worried its eptopic! Just want my baby to be safe

The cramps are normal for first 4 weeks after finding out- growing of the womb. Had cramping with both pregnancies- nothing too overbearing though. Good luck xx

I had lots of pains during the first 3 months. I worried about all of them but was told that round ligament pain is perfectly normal (bloody sore tho!) Good luck to you and congratulations! xxx

A certain amount of cramping/stretching is normal.

But if you are getting sharp pains, you need to be checked as a matter of urgency.

weebigmamma thankyou yeah i hope it is just normal stretching im 19 and this is my first so dont know whats normal and what isnt :).

I had lots of ectopic symptoms but my baby is in the right place so you may be ok!

Congratulations on your pregnancy. As others have said pains and cramps in early pregnancy are quite normal. Is there any reason why they are scanning you so early? I'm surprised that they are rescanning you again at only five weeks. Please prepare for the fact that your scan tomorrow may also not be conclusive. Have they done any further HCG tests?

Pains, particularly on the right, can be bowel-related too, trapped wind etc. I panicked about every little twinge until I saw baby in the right place at an 8week scan!

Yeah they are scanning me as they where worried about eptopic but hcg levels have been normally rising so far so they just want to make sure its all okay :) and am 6 weeks today

Just thought id update you all i went for scan this morning and saw my little baby in the right place, his little heart was beating away brought a tear my eye

Wow, my baby was just a bean at five weeks with no brain or heart, so you have been lucky :-) When I was scanned again at seven weeks, it looked very different and the heart was beating.
