Almost 26 wks and over the last few days I've been getting what feels like aching or bruising in my lower right ribs. Especially painful when sitting for a while. Baby lies more on the right side but no kicks towards my ribs. What could it be? Desperate to get some relief from it too :(

I have this too, from about 20 weeks. I have quite a small frame and I understand the pain is the ribs expanding to accommodate the growing baby. I have found this one of the most difficult parts of pregnancy because it is so difficult to get comfortable, so I (literally) feel your pain! All I can suggest is identifying positions that set the pain off and avoiding them - if I've been sitting at a desk for hours I can guarantee I'll be worse for the rest of the day.

Also, not to be alarming but right upper quadrant pain can also be a sign of pre eclampsia so make sure you mention it to your midwife, just in case x

I'm getting booted in the foofoo too lol! It's not a nice experience, especially when walking in public haha.

Thanks for replies, thought it might be the room making thing but will check with MW, have scan and appointment in 2 weeks

Oh I remember this from my first pregnancy, it was horrible.

I eventually found relief from sitting up straight and stretching my arms above my head for few moments and the pain would ease off for a while.

Hoping it won't happen again this pregnancy!
