Pregnancy with periods

Just an enquiry really, has anyone had a pregnancy where you continued normal menstrual cycle for any length of time, and if so did this continue to later pregnancies?

I bleed every 4 weeks for the first 5 months, found it very unnerving. Doc said it happens to some women, more than you'd think.

Happened again in second pg too, but wasn't shocked by it anymore and knew it was normal for me.

A friend of mine continued throughout her pregnancy, though it was just the one pregnancy so far. Like above we learned through her that it's actually a lot more common than you'd think.

First 4 or 5 months...

This happened to my friend, she had normal 'periods' for about 4 months and didn't find out she was pregnant until she was 10/11 weeks as it was unplanned.
