Nervous about first scan

It's only 5 days until my 12 week (13 week 6 days!!!) scan and I am so nervous.

Seems to be dragging so much and I am so worried to check if the baby is ok. Not had any real symptoms for a bit now.

I felt more scared the closer my 12 weekscan got, I had a miscarriage just before this pregnancy so I panicked the whole time before my 12 week scan. I haven't had much sickness or symptoms other than tiredness, I found that my symptoms got less after about 10 weeks which made me worry even more and often I panicked that I just didn't feel pregnant anymore! Also spent far too much time googling everything! Went for my 12 week scan last week which was nerve wracking and everything was absolutely fine, was shocked to see a baby wriggling around-felt so relieved! Hope these last few days go quickly for you. X

I've got my scan on Friday when according to my lmp dates I'll be 12w2d but I reckon I'm about 8/9 weeks. I've had loads of symptoms but I'm still worrying that I'll go for the scan and there will be either no baby or more than one baby.
I am looking forward to seeing my baby and to finding out a proper due date though
I'm sure everything will be ok for you.

Hi all, my first scan is next Friday too, by my lmp I'll be 15+2 by then. I'm terrified it's my 3rd pregnancy, I have no dc and I've never made it this far before. I had an mc back in October after seeing an empty sac at the scan so this is going to be a tough few days for me. I have every symptom going but that didn't mean anything last time. Trying to be optimistic though. Good luck everyone!

I was just about to write the exact same post.

My first scan on Thursday. I'll be 12+6 and im dreading it too. So scared that theres not going to be anything there or that I've had a mmc. Only symptoms I have a terrible headaches, craving for acidic foods no I didn't see where that giant jar of pickled went and wanting to sleep all the time. Other than that I dont feel pregnant at all.

Im sure we will all be fine. Very unmumsnet hugs to everyone.

I started a similar thread about a fortnight ago. I couldn't sleep the night before my scan! It is my second pregnancy too so i thought i'd be fine but i was just as nervous as the first time round.

It's normal to feel like this. Until you feel the baby move it's just a constant worry. It's so surreal to see them wriggling around on the screen when you're completely unaware of it.
