Needing the loo...tiny amount of wee!

I'm 17 weeks. Just showing a bit. Had a check up and scan yesterday - all OK.

Bit puzzled by my urine at the moment. Staying hydrated OK but... Sometimes I have an urgent urge and then just a drop comes out! Other times the urge is less but I wee more when I sit down and go. My urge seems not to relate much to the quantity. No pain or stinging.

I'm sure because of the pregnancy I should be making more urine (no logic to this, just instinct) for the amount I drink.

Is this a pregnancy thing or should I see someone?

Oh yes, I'm looking forward to having satisfying wees again! It's a pregnancy thing I'm afraid (though always get checked for uti if worried). I'm at the stage (39wks) where I contemplate staying in bed and wetting myself for all that will come out when I heave myself to the loo Grin

I also need the loo every time I stand up now...joy.

The hormones make you want to go a bit more. I used to lean forward after my wee and try and get a bit more out but I think that's towards the size-of-a-house waddling stage

Thanks. :) Very reassuring... But it looks like I'm gonna have to get used to it!

I feel as tho I am bursting like if I don't get to the loo I will wet my self....all that for a tiny trickle. Most frustrating been woken up like this at 3 am what a waste of a walk to the loo lol

AmelieRose · 05/04/2014 20:47

It happens to me all the time - really annoying isn't it?! Feel like I'm bursting then sod all when I get to the loo Wink

AlwaysDancing1234 · 05/04/2014 21:32

It can be very annoying! I'm 28 weeks, sometimes hurry to the loo and then only a trickle! Just double check with your doc or midwife that you don't have a mild urine infection (as this can sometimes be an early symptom) but more often it's just one of those lovely 'pregnancy things'!!

mssleepyhead · 05/04/2014 21:44

Happens to me too! Oddly the only thing that gives me a satisfying release is going swimming. Don't know if it's the breast stroke position, exercise or water but when I get out of the pool I have my best wee of the week!

ohthegoats · 05/04/2014 21:46

15 weeks here, and I'm the same. I try hanging on and on - the day of my 12 week scan, where I'd held it in to the point of agony, was almost worth the pain for the satisfying wee I had afterwards. I actually sighed.

At the beginning when I was injecting the heparin, I used to do it at the same time as I had a wee, just to get something nice to go with the nasty of the injection. Now it's not worth it, I don't get the decent wee.

Mmolly2013 · 05/04/2014 21:47

I have those symtoms and doctor said i have uti so now I'm on antibiotics

squizita · 05/04/2014 21:50

Just did a normal sized wee, so looks like its just an annoyance. Will check with midwife next week as have appt. Thanks all!

I've needed a wee pretty much constantly since very early in my pregnancy and I'm now 10 days overdue. The minimum night time loo visits while I've been pregnant is 5. It's been so frustrating especially when I read bits in my pregnancy app about when I was likely to feel some relief

Boogles91 · 05/04/2014 22:53

I have had this since about 16 weeks, I am 21 weeks now and all is ok so I'm pretty sure its nothing to worry about. It is very uncomfortable though so you have my sympathy! xxx :)

CoolCat2014 · 06/04/2014 15:27

Might be worth checking you don't have uti
