How Long Do I Wait Before I Do A Test?

I really don't think there is much chance that I am pregnant, as I am b/f and haven't had a period yet(ds is 8mnths old). I took the mini pill 5 or more hours late .
But I find myself not wanting to send a box of baby clothes to my younger brother (their first baby is due in June), just in case. I am struggling with two and we only have 2 bedrooms , I would be panicstricken to find myself pregnant again. So when should I do a test to be sure? Is it two weeks after the event or to be sure should I wait 3 weeks? I really just want to confirm what I know already so I can stop thinking about it iykwim.

Apparently tests can now pick up 10-14 days after the deed. Perhaps test after 2 but then again after 3 to make sure? Sorry if that's a bit vague.

It is 2 and half weeks so I think I better buy a test.(double pack) Thanks beansprout

I will , I didn't go to the chemist today as I was picking dd up from school ... excuses,excuses.
Maybe I will go tomorrow. I am sure there was a similar thread recently.
