Pink Discharge at 4 weeks pregnant

Hi.
Just a quick query. I have only just found out I am pregnant.(Like yesterday)Since I did the test I have noticed a very slight pink discharge on wiping. Have m/c before and may be panicking a little bit. Did another test today at the same time of day and the pink line did look a little darker than yesterday.
Is this something I should worry about.
p.s. maybe a bit personal but we had intercourse this morning. Could that have anything to do with it.

I know this can be quite common. Have you been in touch with your midwife? Hope you're ok hun

Hang in there, in my experience the pink line tells you far more than the pink discharge. I had spotting (and even red bleeding) on and off in the first trimester with both my pregnancies, and all was well. First time, I freaked - had had several miscarriages and couldn't believe things could still be ok, but its actually very common: 25% of women bleed during the first trimester, more with multiples.
And yes, intercourse can cause a bit of spotting - some of the little blood vessels round the cervix/vaginal area can be swollen in pregnancy, and more likely to get bruised/broken during sex. Wouldn't hurt the foetus, but I would probably avoid any more sex until you feel a bit more secure with the pregnancy - just me, that!
But it equally well may have nothing to do with it at all - could just be implantation spotting.
Good luck, hope all goes well!

by 'more secure' I mean I'd wait till the spotting stopped, nothing more!

The thing that gets me most is that AF was only due on Friday and this is very early (It is only Sunday after all.) I was going to wait till I was a week late b4 I tested but curiousity got the better of me. There is definitely a second pink line. On Friday i had one patch on brown discharge and now this light pink spotting. I have one tender breast ( the left not the right) and was nauseous yesterday and Very tired last week ( but that may have had something to do with my promotion)
I don't know if I am imagining things. Might get one of those digital test tomorrow and go by what it says. No doubt in that is there.
Agree with you on the intercourse thing tho. No more till I am confident in it's staying power.

Hi, I had this with both of my pregnancies. If you are really worried you could ask the doctor to refer you to the hospital so that they can do an early scan. That should hopefully put your mind at rest.

hi,im 11 weeks gone now and i had pink, sometimes watery redish brown but usually pink discharge from week 5-8 on and off.when i was pg last time with dd2 i had spotting when i wouldve been due on and then at 8 and 12 weeks gone.
i had a scan this time as i was having severe pain at 4 weeks but they coulnt see anything, i had a scan that showed the sac at 5 weeks then at6 wks a nice heartbeat was visible(though it didnt stop me worrying about the spotting).
all the best hope everythings ok

Did one of those digital tests yesterday and it is BFP. Spotting has settled down now so feeling a little better. (Also not scrutinising everything - it will drive me nuts - if there is something to be worried about I'm sure I'll notice it without closely examining everything.)
Going to ring GP on Thursday. Do I need to see him or can he just refer me to Ante Natal?
Now I know I'm being silly but I am going on holiday next week. Will be 6 weeks going and 8 weeks returning. I'm sure I'm fine to fly but just a passing comment someone made got me thinking ,AM I?
