another am I in labour thread...

So I'm 40+1 and had a sweep at about midday today. MW said my cervix was still long but 3cm dilated. I've been having really strong braxton hicks since, every couple of minutes. Bump goes very tight and I can feel masses of pressure low low down and I feel like I need the loo.

What's the MN consensus?

I read somewhere that if you have to ask then you're probably not? But what do I know, I'm only 15 weeks pregnant! How exciting your baby will be here soon :)

Ooh good luck op! Is this your first?
I was not convinced I was in labour until I was crying and couldn't lie down, sit down, stand without feeling like I was dying! I'd been in early long first stages for about 36 hours at that point! BlushGrin

Well turns out I most definitely was! Took the decision to go to hospital at about 18:30 and my beautiful baby boy was born at 22:31. We're home now and he's sleeping on me as I type Smile
