Woke this morning with a really sore minge. Like a bruised type feeling. WTF is it? It hurts to walk. the only thing I can think of is that i was sitting/bouncing on my brand new ball yesterday. Would that be it? Confused

I have it all the te apparently it's SPD and it's worst for me when turning over in bed ! Apparently it goes as soon as you give birth though....

FoodieMum3 · 04/04/2014 12:10

How many weeks are you? I'm 17w and get it too, I have mild spd and think it's associated with that.

ClariceBeanthatsme · 04/04/2014 12:20

Erm... piles? are you quite swollen there too? I had them after about 30 weeks. Apparently its all the weight and pressure.
They disappeared as soon as ds was born.

gunwalloe · 04/04/2014 12:44

Its not thrush is it? I had to take antibiotics and it gave my thrush my fanjo was so sore!

qazxc · 04/04/2014 12:48

It doesn't feel internal, Like not in my vagina or hips. Just my "lips" are sore but not swollen.
It doesn't feel like piles either as it doesn't seem to be in my bum, just my "undercarriage".
I'm nearly 29 weeks now.

Press along your pubic bone. Does that hurt? If so, SPD is likely. I have both a bruised feeling pubic bone and a crotch that feels like I've been kicked incessantly by a shire horse. Which is nice Grin

MissCalamity · 04/04/2014 14:54

I've had an enlarged varicose vein down there from about 30 weeks, only thing to do is rest with my feet up, damn!

Pregnancy is so glam isn't it?! Grin

gamerchick · 04/04/2014 14:55

I was going to say varicose veins.

trikken · 04/04/2014 15:39

Yep varicose veins. Resting made it feel a bit better, not much else really helps.

isitme1 · 04/04/2014 15:42

I have a sore what ever you want to call it minge, faj etc
Feels very swollen and very off sex :(

Sweetpea86 · 04/04/2014 17:36

Lmao the term sore minge made me laugh. And yes I do I have spd feel like I've been kicked in the "minge" as if it's bruised.

When I still on the loo I feel as tho u have lots of pressure down there, so I think it's a mix of baby putting pressure and spd.

Or like pp have mentioned could be a vein.

Pregnancy is just so glamorous lol

I recently went to the doctors about the same thing. I was sure it couldn't be thrush as it wasn't internal at all, just the top bits of the vulva. It was thrush though and all good now after a slather of cream.

LovelyMarchHare · 04/04/2014 18:33

I was going to say thrush too :-(

livingzuid · 04/04/2014 19:23

Ah that ow across the pubic bone is SPD? It was a bit uncomfy in the first trimester but then went away. Last two days it has felt like that bit is being split into two which is part of the relaxation of everything I guess? Am 31+3. Every time I switch sides in bed I want to howl. It's mild tho compared to what I know some ladies have.

Vag area itself not too bad, though I get the odd stab going up it.

ithoughtofitfirst · 04/04/2014 21:34

I'm only reading this thread because the word minge made me LOL

No messin. No 'private parts'. MINGE. Boom.

I too had to read this thread as the title was brilliant lol.

Can't say I've got a bruised feeling down there myself but I've started getting a random pain that's been perfectly described by someone else on here as 'knitting needles up the fanjo syndrome'.

:)

CarlyKins · 04/04/2014 22:52

Yes I'm very sore down there, all inside and around the pelvic bone mainly on the left side feel like have been kicked over and over again ouch! So yes, I have a sore minge too lol

alita7 · 04/04/2014 22:56

you can get thrush with no symptoms apparently. when I first had it, it was HORRENDOUS second time bad. And when I had an internal at the epu she said I had thrush and gave me a pessary. apart from being a bit sensitive which I still am due to pregnancy, I hadn't noticed... so it could be.

Angelina77 · 05/04/2014 00:06

I have the exact same thing, feels like I've misjudged a bike seat a sat down hard on the cross bar. Been referred to a physio class type thing at the hospital so hope that helps.
